For the third year now, Cali Fluff Co. (Kayla) and I (thegolden_sonny/Natalie) have teamed up to create the Ralph bandana. It’s been a huge success the last two years, and I love seeing all the smiles shared around the world. This year, we chose a fun pop of color—Ralph’s favorite color: orange. A few years ago, I lost my big brother, Ralph, to mental illness. He had the best sense of humor and truly put a smile on everyone’s face. He was my best friend, and I found myself laughing and smiling a bit less after he passed. Today, I cherish the moments and people that make me laugh a little more. My hope is that you all can do the same.
The bandana and new sweatshirt launch in February, a special month for me and my family as we celebrate my brother's birthday. On the 22nd, it would have been his 29th birthday. He loved animals, and our family dog at the time became his best companion until his last day. Dogs provide pure, unconditional love and are happy with the simplest aspects of life. I think they can truly teach us all a lesson.
So, this is how the Ralph bandana came to be. Although simple, a smile is all a person needs sometimes. My hope is that this bandana can serve as a reminder to all to be kind. I know not everyone knew Ralph, but to honor him, I’ve always tried to spread the same smiles he would have today. A special thank you to @califluffco for working with me on this idea over the years.
